Welcome to the first edition of Notary Notes with Erikka!

When my husband and I moved to Grass Valley, we weren’t just looking for a new home—we were looking for a community. We found exactly that here. From the beautiful pine trees and rolling hills to the friendly faces and small-town charm, Nevada County quickly became a place we were proud to call home. It also became the perfect place for me to build a mobile notary business centered on personal service.

As a mobile notary, I have the privilege of meeting people during some of life’s most important moments. Whether I’m helping someone complete estate planning documents, assisting a family with real estate paperwork, or traveling to a home, hospital, or assisted living community, every appointment is unique. My goal is always the same—to make the notarization process convenient, professional, and as stress-free as possible.

One of the things I love most about this work is getting to know the people in our community. In a world where so much happens online, I still believe there’s value in showing up, shaking hands, answering questions, and providing service with care and integrity.

🌿 A Little from the Ranch

When I’m not on the road meeting clients, you’ll often find me at home caring for our goats and chickens or working on our ranch. Life here reminds me to slow down, appreciate the little things, and enjoy the place we’re fortunate enough to call home. Every day is a little different—and that’s one of the things I love most about living in Grass Valley.

💡 Notary Tip of the Week

Before your appointment, have a valid, government-issued photo ID ready, and wait to sign your documents until your notary is present. Those two simple steps help ensure your notarization is completed correctly under California law.

❤️ Thank You for Stopping By

My hope is that this weekly blog becomes more than just information about notarization. I’d love for it to be a place where we can talk about helpful tips, life in Nevada County, and the people and experiences that make this community special.

Thank you for reading the first edition of Notary Notes with Erikka. If there’s a notary question you’d like answered or a topic you’d enjoy seeing in a future post, I’d love to hear from you.

Until our paths cross,
